Chapter 507: 507. Tyla
"Thank you for saving me. I am Yumina, a bounty hunter. What is your name?" Yumina asked softly once they found somewhere safer. The two of them had slipped into another abandoned basement, this one quieter, colder, and filled with broken crates and dusty barrels.
The pale light from a small crack in the ceiling barely illuminated the space. The air smelled musty, but at least no one would find them here. Yumina leaned against a pillar, clutching her gauntlet, trying to recover her strength.
The tall, angelic girl stood before her, still a little dazed. She placed her fingers on her forehead and closed her eyes. "I am... I... don’t remember..." Her brows furrowed. "Everything seems blank. My name... It’s... Ty... Ty..."
"Tyga? Tyla?" Yumina guessed, patting her shoulder gently, trying to calm her.
The girl blinked, then tilted her head. "Hmm... Tyla? It seems like someone called me with that name before. So... my name is probably Tyla." She smiled, her lips curving into something so radiant and natural it made the entire dim basement seem brighter.
Yumina froze. Her face turned crimson in an instant. Her heart thumped in her chest like war drums. Why... why is my heart beating faster? she thought, flustered. Why does this beautiful girl named Tyla feel so familiar? No, no way. I only like boys. I am not... I am not a lesbian...
Her mind spun, a mess of denial and confusion.
And then— Yumina caught sight of something utterly ridiculous. Tyla was peeking curiously down at her own chest, poking at her breasts as if they were strange objects.
"What... what are you doing?" Yumina asked, her voice rising a little. Her face heated more, though a small part of her felt jealous of Tyla’s size.
"Huh?" Tyla blinked innocently. "I don’t know. But I feel... this shouldn’t exist here. It only makes my shoulders stiff..." Her expression was sad, almost pitiful.
Yumina’s mouth twitched. She wanted to scream, If you don’t want them, give them to me, I’ll take them gladly! But she swallowed her pride and sighed heavily instead.
"Looks like you lost your memories because of the teleportation, Ms. Tyla," Yumina muttered, trying to keep her composure. "For now, let me recover. After that, we can go get my other gauntlet, save a guy, and escape from here."
"Alright. Let’s do that." Tyla nodded firmly.
As if remembering something, Tyla checked her body. Her hand brushed against a small, spherical object tucked in her clothes. It glowed faintly, like it contained a world within.
She lifted it carefully, confusion written across her face.
"Is that... a storage pearl?" Yumina’s eyes widened. "Maybe you can check inside it. You might find something about yourself."
"How do I check it?" Tyla asked, tilting her head, childlike in her confusion.
"Use your divine sense. Like this— " Yumina concentrated, her brow furrowing as she tried to open the pearl. But no matter how hard she pushed, nothing happened.
"Divine sense?" Tyla repeated. Then, as if by instinct, her eyes glowed faintly. A force surged from her, natural and refined. She activated her divine sense as though it were muscle memory.
In the blink of an eye— Tyla vanished. The pearl dropped on the floor.
"Huh?!" Yumina’s dumbfounded voice echoed in the empty basement. She rushed forward, grabbing the pearl.
Suddenly, Tyla reappeared, smiling with awe. Without hesitation, she grabbed Yumina’s hand. "Come with me."
Before Yumina could react, both of them disappeared into the pearl.
The world shifted.
"This..." Yumina gasped, her eyes wide in disbelief. A vast sky stretched above her. Rivers sparkled, forests swayed in a gentle breeze, and mountains loomed in the distance.
"This is... a pocket dimension from the legends!" Yumina exclaimed, spinning in awe. "Tyla... you must be some sort of descendant from a rich Immortal Family!" Her voice trembled with excitement.
But Tyla only looked around with a lost expression. "I... I’m not sure. I can’t remember anything." Her voice cracked slightly. A shadow of sadness passed over her flawless face.
Yumina’s heart softened. Seeing that look of loneliness, she felt a pang of pity. She stepped closer, hesitating for only a second before gently holding Tyla’s hands.
Their eyes met.
Badump. Badump.
Both of them could hear it— the synchronized beating of their hearts.
"Ahh..." Yumina gasped softly, pulling away with a crimson face. She turned her back quickly, hiding her embarrassment.
"I-I’m sorry..." she muttered.
Am I really straight? Yumina’s thoughts spiraled. There are only a few people who ever made my heart beat like this. Ling Tian, my childhood friend. Tyler White, that guy I met when I was younger. And now... this girl, Tyla.
Her chest tightened. Tyla... Tyler... Even their names sound similar. What’s going on with me?
"Look," Tyla’s voice broke through Yumina’s thoughts. She pointed toward the distance. "There’s a house over there. Let’s go."
Yumina nodded nervously. Together, they walked across the lush grass toward the small but luxurious house. It was surrounded by rare flowers of vibrant colors, carefully tended. Arrays glowed faintly, watering the plants in steady rhythms.
The main door creaked open without resistance, as if welcoming them.
They stepped inside— and froze.
A queen-sized bed covered in rose petals dominated the room. A shelf lined with glowing potions glimmered faintly, the liquids swirling inside. An open wardrobe revealed rows of sexy costumes —lace, leather, silks —and hanging beside them, whips and toys of questionable use.
"Ahem..." Yumina coughed awkwardly. "Looks like Ms. Tyla is... an open-minded girl."
Her smile twitched nervously.
There was also a large tub filled with glowing water, steam rising from it. The medicinal fragrance filled the air, soothing yet invigorating.
What neither Yumina nor Tyla knew was this place was a temporary love nest that Tyler and Mathilda had once used when enjoying themselves with different maidens. Afterward, they’d left it behind, not caring in the slightest.
"I... I’m not sure," Tyla muttered honestly. She rubbed her temple, lost in thought. Then she looked around again and said softly, "Let’s rest here, recover our strength, and then save your friend. Maybe these potions can help."
Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she picked up a pink vial. On the side, scrawled in neat handwriting, were the letters M&Ms – Mathilda and Moans.
Yumina’s expression stiffened. "...I don’t think those are healing potions..."
But Tyla was already setting the vial down, her gaze shifting to the glowing bath. Her eyes widened in wonder. "Then let’s use the medicinal bath!" she exclaimed with childlike excitement.
Before Yumina could protest, Tyla began removing her clothes.
"W-wait, what are you doing?!" Yumina’s face burned as she stumbled back. Her eyes, despite herself, betrayed her. They wandered.
"Of course... bathing." Tyla answered innocently as she slipped off the last of her garments. Her body glowed under the light, skin flawless like polished jade.
Yumina’s throat went dry. She wanted to look away. She really did. But her eyes stayed locked.
And when Tyla turned slightly, Yumina’s gaze dropped— right between her legs.
"Ahhhh!" Yumina screamed, covering her face with both hands, though her fingers still parted slightly, betraying her curiosity.
