Chapter 196 Exquisite Acting, Mission Accomplished

Five people slowly walked out of the dormitory, their clothes changed from school uniforms to casual wear.

Ji Zi even wore a white sun hat and her outfit was now summery, as the weather was quite warm today.

Lu Ze, who hadn't changed, was treated to a feast for his eyes. However, as attractive as it was, he needed to figure out how to extricate himself to complete his mission.

The amusement park was not far from the academy, about two kilometers away, a thirty-minute ride by car. Since it was the weekend, there were quite a lot of people.

Even though it was only eight o'clock, a long queue had already formed at the entrance.

"Huh? Why are there so many people? We came this early, and we still have to wait for a long time?"

Kiana seemed to have completely lost her energy, her entire being instantly deflated. However, for the sake of fun, what was a little queuing?

Seeing the crowd growing behind them, Kiana eagerly rushed forward to claim a spot.

The others exchanged glances and joined the queue behind her.

Lu Ze looked at the large crowd, estimating at least a thirty-minute wait. Should he… go now?

But a hand immediately grabbed his and pulled him into the queue.

"What are you still standing there for? If you don't join the queue now, more people will come, and you won't be able to go in with us then."

Uh…

Alright, he couldn't escape Kiana's gaze for now. He would deal with it after they got inside. He could find an excuse to leave then, and he would have time to complete his mission.

Just then, his phone in his pocket rang. Lu Ze took out his phone and saw a message from the client.

"You haven't started the mission yet? The target has already arrived at the department store. Hurry up, it's estimated they'll leave around ten o'clock. You only have this one chance, so seize it well."

Lu Ze frowned slightly and sighed. Given the current situation, they would have to queue until at least 8:30 AM. That meant he had only one and a half hours, needing to leave the amusement park by 9:00 AM to start the mission.

Otherwise, the mission might truly fail.

"Why do you look so glum? Aren't you happy today? Did I make you angry?"

Kiana looked at Lu Ze with a hint of worry on her face.

"No! I was just thinking about some unpleasant things. You don't need to mind, and I don't need you to worry about me. Just relax!"

After waiting in line for half an hour, it was finally their turn. After buying the tickets, they finally entered.

The ticketing system at this amusement park was a bit peculiar; they sold a general admission ticket, and once inside, you could play anything you wanted. It could be considered a self-service amusement park.

Their first challenge was the roller coaster. What's the point of coming to an amusement park without experiencing something thrilling today?

The group arrived at the roller coaster's boarding area, where the staff were waiting for the previous passengers to disembark.

Soon, the roller coaster returned. Some people were already terrified, their legs wobbly as they got off. Lu Ze wasn't scared, but he couldn't guarantee his own legs wouldn't buckle.

Choosing a seat on the first row on the left, Kiana naturally took the first row on the right. Ji Zi sat in the second row on the left, Mei sat on the right, and Bronya had to sit alone in the third row.

Before long, the seats were filled, and the roller coaster slowly started, pulling out of the station.

Initially, it was an uphill climb, which wasn't very exciting. But Lu Ze, sitting in the front row, could clearly see the steep descent, and his heart immediately leaped into his throat.

"Lu Ze, if you're scared, you can hold my hand."

Kiana extended her hand, gesturing for Lu Ze to grab it.

"You must be joking. I'd be scared? I'm definitely not holding your hand because I'm scared. I just want to hold onto something."

This was a classic case of prideful denial, but before he could reach for her hand, the roller coaster began its descent.

The roller coaster plunged downwards. Lu Ze, sitting in the front row, was undoubtedly the most terrified.

"Ah...! Why did I have to ride this thing?"

In an instant, his stomach churned. He suppressed the urge to vomit and slowly steadied himself, but the next second, the roller coaster flipped over.

His stomach, which had just settled, was about to heave again. Unsurprisingly, his breakfast was wasted.

Ten minutes later, Lu Ze walked out of the roller coaster with wobbly legs, his face pale, as if he had just gone through something ordeal. People couldn't help but be curious.

"Are you okay? Lu Ze, you look unwell. Should we rest for a bit later?"

Kiana quickly supported Lu Ze, preventing him from falling to the ground. He then slumped into a nearby chair, utterly exhausted.

"Let me rest for a while. You guys go play first. I'll find you later. Don't worry, this amusement park isn't that big, I won't get lost."

Seeing Kiana's hesitant expression, Lu Ze persuaded them a bit more before they left.

"Phew… Acting is so tiring. I'm amazing, my acting deserves an Oscar, no question."

Everything that had just happened was intentional on Lu Ze's part. His wobbly legs were due to his habit, and the nausea was self-induced by a punch to his stomach. He wouldn't endure such hardship if it weren't for the mission.

"If the bounty wasn't so high, I wouldn't even want to take this mission. While they're having fun, I should leave quickly."

He went to the amusement park's public restroom, climbed out through a window, and then started looking for the motorcycle he had prepared.

The motorcycle accelerated to its maximum speed, rapidly heading towards the department store.

It took about ten minutes. With his superb riding skills and near-maximum speed, he finally reached the department store.

He glanced around and entered a building. It was located at a 45-degree angle opposite the department store, about half its height. But for him, it was sufficient.

He quickly took out his sniper rifle from his backpack, assembled it, and positioned it at a likely point of passage for the target.

He aimed his right eye through the scope, adjusted the magnification, tested the wind speed, and once everything was ready.

He quietly waited for his prey to fall into the trap. This person had to die.

After waiting for about three minutes, he saw the target walking with smiles and laughter, accompanied by his wife. Neither of them was a good person.

This man had used his position to gain considerable illicit money and had even aided criminals. He deserved to die ten thousand times over.

He aimed at his head and fired a shot… taking him down.
