Feng Qingshi cast a nervous glance back at the male homeroom teacher as the wind picked up.
The male homeroom teacher slightly turned his body in the direction Feng Qingshi was looking, asking, "What are you looking at?"
"Oh, my aunt is very stubborn and insisted on walking by herself. I was worried she might get lost," Feng Qingshi said uncomfortably.
"It's too far-fetched that she could get in but not get back," the male homeroom teacher chuckled.
Feng Qingshi also smiled, "Teacher, what you said makes sense."
"Alright, let's go back," the male homeroom teacher smiled.
Feng Qingshi nodded and, without lingering, turned and walked towards his own classroom.
The male homeroom teacher also left.
After wandering aimlessly for a while longer, Mu Anxiao left the teaching building and arrived outside the guardhouse.
"Open the door, please."
"How did you get in?" the security guard asked in surprise as he stood up and opened the window to look at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao blinked and said, "I just went in like that. Now I want to go out."
"You..."
"I climbed over the back gate," Mu Anxiao said casually.
The security guard was startled and hurried out of the guardhouse to Mu Anxiao's side, saying in a low voice, "Do you want to get me killed?"
"I don't want to get you killed. Anyway, I've already found Feng Qingshi," Mu Anxiao said calmly.
"What is your relationship with him?" the security guard asked, frowning.
"I don't need to tell you, do I?" Mu Anxiao asked, tilting her head to look at the security guard's curious expression.
The security guard dodged his gaze slightly and said, "If you don't tell me, I won't let you out."
"I'll climb out," Mu Anxiao said. As she took a step forward, the security guard opened the door a crack.
"Get out of here," he said.
Mu Anxiao turned to thank the security guard and walked out of the school gate.
The security guard sighed and muttered, "Ah, young people nowadays are so amazing." Shaking his head, he closed the door and returned to the guardhouse.
As Mu Anxiao walked back, her mind couldn't help but repeatedly recall Feng Qingshi's words. As she thought, she stopped at the edge of the road, glanced at the pedestrians waiting for the traffic light, and muttered, "That's strange. Zhang Yan also mentioned this word 'research' yesterday, and today Feng Qingshi also said 'research'... What does 'research' mean?" As she spoke, she stepped forward to join the crowd crossing the road.
Not long after, Mu Anxiao returned to the small park.
"You're back."
Mu Anxiao looked at the young man walking towards her and nodded, "Yes, I'm back."
The young man stopped in front of Mu Anxiao and said, "As expected of the boss's granddaughter, you can come and go as you please. It's so cool."
"There's a hidden meaning in your words. What do you really want to say?" Mu Anxiao asked directly.
The young man shrugged his shoulders. "I don't want to say anything. I just want to ask for your name?"
"We're not close," Mu Anxiao said, deliberately crossing her arms to shield her name.
"You're really aloof," the young man chuckled and said, "My name is Fan Yan. You can call me Old Fan."
"Fan Yan, Lao Fan?" Mu Anxiao repeated his name unsteadily, swallowing and saying, "You can just pretend you didn't introduce yourself to me."
"Why?" Fan Yan asked.
"I can't say it," Mu Anxiao said, averting her gaze.
"No..." Fan Yan chuckled awkwardly. "Did you misunderstand something?"
Seeing Fan Yan's expression, Mu Anxiao said, "Your given name is Fan Yan, and your nickname is Lao Fan. If you don't mention your given name and only say your nickname, it makes me feel like I'm bothering you."
